BF2 Weapons' and armies' list |
Gamespot has posted a list of the different weapons that would be available in the different classes of both armis (US and MEC). They have also posted a few new screenshots of the classes and the soldiers. Still no news thought from the weapons that would be unlocked when you earn higher rank and how you are going to do that. Each faction will have seven soldier classes that you can choose from, including assault, special ops, medics, engineers, and support troops. The special ops and support classes are entirely new to the Battlefield franchise. Special ops troops are armed with short-range weapons and clad in light armor, but they're able to move quickly and can blow up enemy equipment, or they can designate enemy targets for friendly missiles. Meanwhile, support troops will be able to drop ammo packs for their teammates in addition to providing fire support, courtesy of their machine guns. In this preview, we take a look at the primary weapons that every class for all three factions will carry into battle. Read the whole article on our forums or at gamespot itslef. |

AA-Operation Punk Buster Continues |
Executive Developer of AA, Phil Deluca, issued a statement regarding cheating: It's been a little over a week since Jerry "Skyhuntr" Heneghan posted about Operation Punk Buster. It's time to give the community an update so you know we haven't forgotten.
We're not going to share details about our response - ever. Don't expect any. However, I do want the community to know that we're getting ready to deliver a new version that includes many features designed to reduce the problems we're running into in addition to some rather nifty features. The coolest part of making this happen is it happened as part of our normal development. While we worked a little harder to get the extra security features in, it had no impact on our schedule. IGN has posted a hands on preview from a recent event that they got the chance to play the game. Performance was one of the biggest things we were looking for in the CES demo, as this game requires some serious meat to run, and hasn't always been shown running at full clip. The CES demo, which was running on Nvidia's 6800 Ultras running in SLI, kept it together for a full-on visual assault -- this was hardcore hardware being employed, so we don't know yet how the rest of us will be seeing the game on our broke-ass machines, but at least the game can run like the French when it needs to. First to Fight new movies |
A couple of new movies over in ign. The movies have in game footage in a tutorial format. Videos are from xbox. Although this game was originally scheduled for release mid January, lack of information from the devs and the word out there is that has been pushed back for March. Most worrying thing is that there is no info at all so far about the multiplayer aspect of the game. I have a feeling that multiplayer will not be a strong point of the game and might be similar to Full Spectrum Warrior. |
